after seeing Lisa's baby I really want to have another bash at doing an ethnic baby, I've got all the colours I need but mine end up blotchy.
Is my paint too thick?
Should I be doing loads of very very thin washes?
Any help would be appreciated

Lisa has done a 2 part tutorial for Discover Dolls, first part was last issue and next part is in the next issue. I want to try, I only did it once before and it was a bit flat looking but very dark, although at a craft fair I took it to a black guy was really made up with it and walked around with it for quite a while

The key is to get the undertones on and then ultra thin washes and sponged layers, the thing to avoid is a flat caked look. Black skin is really three d and has lots of shadows, definitely get the tutorial and if you want help I am always about.
