Thankyou so much for your birthday greetings, i've had one of the best birthdays ever.
My day started as usual doing the school run, little Emma and Lilly had painted stones wishing me a happy birthday, Lilly gave me a card with three pence inside, she found it but said Nana I've washed it for you..ahhhh lovely card from Emma also mammy and daddy, with my presents, a summer top and a bottle of wine, my sister and niece came this morning, with cards and pressies, we sat in the garden with coffee and cake, I then went to Katja's and the girls for to make their lunch, more cards , beautiful pressies, a dress, perfume and crochet book, more cake.... My friend came this afternoon, more beautiful pressies, and cake.
The postman came with more cards and pressies. Plus pressies from John, tonight we went to our local pup and joined in the fun quiz, we came fourth....I even got a birthday cake with candles on from the manager, so today has been so lovely from start to finish, a day full of happiness.

And it didn't hurt at all, that extra year, did it ????

But wasn't it Pentecost in the UK ?
We had it here on sunday and monday....
No shops open, just like two sunday's at a row....

Well we used to celebrate that here in the UK, and today would have normally been a bankholiday, but as this year it is our Queen's diamond jubilee, next monday and Tuesday are Bank holidays.
Having said that, I have had my own celebrations today and they have been fabulous,
