| I have tried rice socks, putting rice directly into head and using the heat from my lamp to warm the head, but I think I have found the best way yet, before rooting, I sit the head on a radiator, in my hobby room and it keeps the head just nice and warm, also when I finish rooting that day, I like to glue the inside, I use Anita's tacky glue, using 1/4ins paint brush, then I place the head back on the radiator and it dries in no time, don't know what I will do in the summer months when heating is off....
Any more tips please. Hugs Doris | |

| I used fibre fill to pack a soft head once, it was a tip from some forum. The hair that went inside the head attached it's self to the fibre fill and I couldn't get it all out. I ended up glueing hair and what fibre fill was attached. It took loads of glue. I should imagine a rice sock is the same isn't it? Doesn't the hair go through the sock????? My friend tried the baking beans instead of rice but don't know how they worked out for her. The baking beans are the ones you buy to put into a pastry case when cooking a flan case to keep the pastry flat. | |

| Great tips from everyone, will take it all on board, as yes, me too have had problems with needles breaking at times, i thought it was because some of the vinyls was differant, or i was too rough putting needles in maybe? anyway, now i know, thanks for your wonderful tips, cant wait to try them out, vicky x | |

| I finished rooting the Elise head last friday and i broke four or five needles. The vinyl was so hard, especially around the neck area. So i used different kind of needles to get the head done.... All heads are so different, there is no norm to them.... | |
