Does anyone use oval glass eyes and if so do they fit ok as most openings in the back of kits eyes are round, just so much cheaper than round glass eyes. Question

No,I haven´t used it but I´ve used these and they fit perfectly for some kits.

Eyes for me it´s a problem because there are kits with difficult opening for eyes so I think oval won´t fit some kits. Question

I think the ovals were made mostly for porcelain doll making. We bevel out the eyes from inside the head to make a nest for the eyes to sit in and then put plaster of paris to hold them in permanently. We can then bevel out enough to fit oval or round in place.

All the sculpts I have seen have round eyes as that is what the sculptor use

And for the small Berenguer dolls too.....
The round flat massive glass eyes are also cheaper than the round mouthblown ones....
