first attempt at painting hair

here is my first attempt of painted hair, decided to try the near bald look, I thought it might be easier to do









not sure if I should still go ahead and root....any advice please.

Oh Doris I think you have done very well, maybe just do a couple more layers I wouldn't root over it. I love the skintones. Oh by the way your link lets everyone see all your pics.

Wow Doris, this is gorgeous.....and i will be very honest with you.....because im not a lover of painted hair normally....but yours is great, i love the nearly bald look anyway, (i like that look too when rooting)....i love the light colour and your babys face looks gorgeous too.....ive fell in love with her/him instantly. Have you decided which sex it will be yet or name?

So honestly Doris from me, you have done an amazing hair painting, its so lovely and soft looking, just has a new born babys hair would be lovely.... totally in love with it before youve got it together...LoveVicky xxxxx

Oh, I'm pleased that you think it looks good, I cannot bear the thought of rooting this one, I really wanted a baldy
Will do some more finishing, just checked, I have a body, I'm going to use the front opening leg type, I like the way the babies feel with these, but need to order some microbeads, not enough in my stash....

wow, it looks really good Doris. I have tried it a couple of times but I got bored LOL. Maybe if mine had looked as good as yours I wouldn't have got bored xx

Thanks Ceinwen, I have since tweaked it a bit more, too scared to go with too much. Baby now has eyelashes., Waiting now to assemble.
At last a baby almost finished ....

I once painted a head but rooted it afterwards......

I've done some more tweaking on the hair, but no more, waiting to assemble, will post photos when done.
